JYFL FOOTBALL DIVISIONS
FLAG FOOTBALL: KINDERGARTEN - 2nd GRADE / $50
Flag football is a noncompetitive program designed to encourage participants to have fun and learn how to play in a group setting with others. Participants are provided mouth guards and jerseys which they keep. There is a two week preseason camp starting in early August followed by six weekly games.
CUBBYS: 3rd - 4th GRADE / $150
Cubs is an introduction to real full contact tackle football. All teams in the Cub division practice together for skills development and training and the coaches are on the field with the participants during the games. The participants are provided all necessary football equipment including helmets, practice & game pants, which are returned at the end of the season. They are also provided mouth guards and game jersey which they keep. There is a two week preseason camp starting in early August followed by six weekly games and a championship game.
JUNIORS: 5th - 6th GRADE / $195
Junior football is a more competitive environment for kids ready to play more serious football. Coaches are not on the field during play. All participants are assigned a starting position if they are in good standing. The participants are provided all necessary football equipment including helmets, practice & game pants, which are returned at the end of the season. They are also provided mouth guards and game jersey which they keep. There is a two week preseason camp starting in early August followed by six weekly games and a championship game.
SENIORS: 7th - 8th GRADE / $195
Senior football is JYFL's most advanced program but is still appropriate for first time players in middle school. It is conducted according to the same parameters as the Junior program. The participants are provided all necessary football equipment including helmets, practice & game pants, which are returned at the end of the season. They are also provided mouth guards and game jersey which they keep. Some Senior division teams may travel to other communities for post-season events, or even out of state in preparation of the participants moving on to the competitive high school programs.
